Located on the shores of the lake, in a historic and preserved building in Neuchâtel, Krayon’s watchmakers work in a remarkable environment, a true haven of inspiration, creativity, and excellence. Krayon is honored to be part of this extraordinary setting, transformed into watchmaking workshops. This exceptional location is a constant source of inspiration for the team, fueling their quest for excellence and continuous improvement in the creation of exceptional timepieces.
These fruitful years have been marked by development, creativity, and innovation in watchmaking. Founded in Neuchâtel in 2017 by Rémi Maillat, an engineer and watch designer, the independent Swiss brand has grown gradually, methodically, steadily, and thoughtfully, with artisanal, handcrafted production that is inherently limited. The team has gradually expanded, driven by a spirit of excellence. Today, Rémi Maillat is surrounded by 12 employees, mainly watchmakers, who work in the workshops to create watches that are both unique and refined. These workshops, housed in a building with parquet floors, marble fireplaces, and ceiling moldings, offer an exceptional setting where each watchmaker participates in both the assembly and finishing of the pieces. Thus, the philosophy of “one watch, one watchmaker” guarantees total transparency in the manufacturing process and increases the responsibility of each individual.
Today, Krayon’s distribution network is gradually expanding with carefully selected partners. Present in eight markets that appreciate independent watchmaking, Krayon has, since its creation, chosen to place its trust in the major historical retailers of fine watchmaking around the world. This network, with its expertise in local clientele, plays an essential role as ambassadors, as they often share the same human values and long-term strategy that perfectly match the brand’s identity.
